Response to Statement 5

I disagree with the following statement, I am now the same person as I was when I was 5 years old." This is because as you get older and go through puberty, your brain develops and matures. Your brain cells enhance and you gain intelligence, which enlarges your brain. The wires in your brain connect and make connections, which is another way you gain intelligence and change mentally. Therefore, as you age, your brain develops and you change mentally. You also change physically because you get facial hair, get taller, and your face complexion and shape changes a little bit as well. You look older and more mature when you get older. You also talk more intelligently and use better vocabulary when you get older, so you aren't the same when you were 5 years old as you are now.

  1. Solid writing here Geoff. I like your ideas regarding how our brains and bodies develop. I personally agree with the same idea that we change and mature as we get older. Keep up the good work. The blog looks great.

  2. I agree with this information. I think it is a very logical way to go about answering this question. I do believe that we are not the same people we were when we were 5 years old and a lot of the biological information you stated above contributes to that.
